Its been a late start to the Rangitata Salmon season with only ones and twos being caught at the river mouth most days. The river mouth was opened earlier in the season in response to a flood warning however this has resulted in not the most ideal fishing conditions with most anglers crowded in a small area. Lets hope the fish are yet to arrive!
